1. What are you most excited about in regards to your immersion experience? I am really exited about the idea of being in a hospital environment. Why do you feel this way? Because i think i want to be a nurse when i grow up. So being around doctors and nurses is really interesting. Even though I'm in the nutrition department and I'm not dealing with blood, I feel like this will be a good learning experience. And by the time I'm done I'll know if this is really the type of environment I want to work on. 2. What are you most concerned about (what causes the most stress) regarding immersion? The idea of not having enough things to do. People here are really organized, therefore they don't need help. They have everything under control. So this can be kind of stressful, or boring I should say. Also the project. I don't have one yet that is really stressful, they don't need major changes here so I don't know what I'll do about my project.Why do you feel this way? People here is really busy to have an intern, that's why I feel this way.
How do I prove this? I wrote my blog during internship, that's how busy I am.
I found this blog really interesting because it relates to the same basic idea I had for Obama. I talked about creating jobs, but I just said what to do and what not to do. In Chandler Hood's blog I found a HOW. A plan for Obama, that goes farder than just stormbraining about what to change, it's more like how to change it. That's whay I liked this Blog.

Historical Writing...
For this category I liked Evan Lott's blog. The way he writes about history may not be that deep, but it is really easy to understand, and easy evidence like quotes are in it. His writing is more an overall analysis of the topic. Here are some sentences of his writing which I concider really easy to understand and get into.
"The populist were their own party, but some of them worked within the democractic party. in the election of 1896 the populists were at a crossroad, stuck between gold and silverites."
Literary Analysis....
This is a paragraph from Sophie Santiago's honors blog. Even though there isn't much of an overall analysis. She took apart one of the literary devices (character) and described very well. She explained what the literary device called character is, and at the same time what the character was in the book that she's reading.
"One literary device in the book, The island of Dr. Moreau written by H.G. Wells, is character. There are three main characters, Dr. Moreau, Montgomery, and Prendick. Prendick an English man and is smart but not as smart as the other characters, Dr.Moreau and Montgomery. He is not really talked much about in the book but you can tell he is one of the characters who is doing his very best to survive on the island. I would Montgomery’s character as puzzled or confused. On the island he was looked down on by Dr. Moreau. In Dr. Moreau’s eyes he was seen as, “imperfect”. He was obsessed with Drinking and having power. Dr. Moreau, in my opinion the most stubborn character. I say that because he was obsessed with perfection and in his opinion everything was imperfect. So he used his science based knowledge to create creature like animals, which really was far off from being perfect. But in Dr. Moreau’s eyes that was seen as perfection."
Descriptive blog's...
For my own category I choose Descriptive blog. I didn't look for a good descriptive piece of writing. I was looking for a simply GOOD piece of writing so I went to Will Schrenkeisen's blog, and I found a well, funny blog about himself. What made it good and funny? the description that he gives to everything. And that's how I got my Descriptive blog category. Here is a small taste of it.
"For the sake of detail, this man was a little taller than me and possessed a reasonable degree of courtesy, but I could sense that he wondered what the hell I was doing in such an austere business environment."
If I had the opportunity to give some advisement to our new president I would start with the whole idea of cutting down taxes. In my opinion the best way to go about money is investing it. Yes, maybe it would be nice to not have to pay that extra dollar when we buy our new jeans, but wouldn't it be better to actually have a well job, and not have to worry about that extra dollar because we have a stabled salary. If the new president and the government make better decisions about spending money in creating jobs, instead of supporting people that DON'T have jobs that would help them more. Maybe at first when we don't get jobs or tax cuts, we as citizens wouldn't understand and would reveal against Obama, but eventually it would be better and more effective.
If Obama is not careful enough and instead of creating jobs he lets only the big companies be in charge of the job percentages and take control in that matter. It can happen the same tragedy that occurred during the Gilded age. Industries owning peoples lives and week people letting them do it because of the great necessity they had. It may sound a little bit extreme and over the top to compare this time we are going through to the gilded age, but it is always a possibility to go back to the same mistakes we once made. The great depression is a good example of regression instead of moving forward.
Another thing I would tell Obama is to be more careful and strict about the billouts the goverment gives to the companies. You should be more cheap when it comes to spending money on them and ask for better excuses from them. That way the money will be spend more wisly and thinking more about the people that don't have even a job, and not concentrating on the few CEO's of this world.
1-The "Well Though Questions" principle. I want my interview to have questions that can make the interviewee keep talking, and giving not just a lot of information but good information. Here are two links. One to a bad interview, this one being full of "yes or no" questions, in fact the interviewee has to make the conversation interesting. in the second interview you can tell the interviewer having more flexibility to go over a certain topic. My first day of internship was really disappointing because I didn't even get to go. Sense I need to have 2 MMP shots, and I only have one, I have to wait another 2 weeks till I get my second shot. The reason I need these is that I will be doing my internship at Scripps Mercy Chula Vista. When working at a hospital you can not get patients sicker than What they already are. So getting shots is a good way to prevent it. I meat my Mentor a couple weeks ago, and I went to the area where I will working. She is a really nice person, and apparently he is very exited of having me, or "someone" to work with her and help her around. The place is obviously very clean and full of Mexicans. I'm really exited to start and I hope it happens soon.

John F. Kennedy’s Speech, contradictory to our current news….
Kennedy’s inauguration speech was given on January 20th 1991. His main points during the speech were hope, change and being friends with other countries. This speech definitely reminds me of new president Barack Obama’s inaugural speech. Both men have the same ideals -change and hope for America. They both have expressed this ideals any time they had the chance. The difference between these two men is that, Obama has the dreams of many Americans in his hands, people that trust him, and he also has his future coming. John F. Kennedy hope’s for America vanished away and he no longer had a chance to realize his dreams for this country. His speech is now relevant in the actual days in a very contradictory way to what he wanted to see happening in this country. During his speech he mentioned a few things that are nothing like what he wanted.
Kennedy said during his speech: “remember that, in the past, those who foolishly sought power by riding the back of the tiger ended up inside”
Kennedy was referring to the people that tried to get power in the past and were consumed by it. Obviously when Kennedy was referring to the “past”, he was saying this could not happen any more, at least during his government.
A few presidents later Bush came in, this being his second time as a president and ironically said: "I earned capital in the campaign, political capital, and now I intend to spend it." Since the beghinning he knew what his deals were, and he was going to take advantage of it. This meant that all the power that he had would be completely used and not necessarily to do the best that he could for America, but to do the best that he could for himself. Now after he is gone we can be sure of this because of the way his decisions worked.
He made lots of mistakes during his time in the White House, mistakes that don’t only affect our economy but produce more suffering in the human race. For example, he didn’t quite spend the country’s money in the best way.When it was time to be careful with the money he spent it in some war with Afghanistan, but when the money really needed to be spent because New Orleans needed help during the tragedy of hurricane Katrina, he acted slowly and with non effective ways. The food supplies and buses for people that were supposed to come from him weren’t there on time. Three years later January on 12thBush admitted at his final news conference as president thatTalking about Katrina Bush said: “Could things have been done better? Absolutely, Absolutely”. We all know that, things could definitely have been worked out better. he didn’t act in the best way.
Another one of his mistakes was the entire idea of accusing Iraq for making weapons, and basically starting war. It has been 5 years now, and he still has no proof of that. But he still talks about it as if he was right making that decision. Bush said on January 13th: “I am comfortable with what we did and it was necessary to protect the country”. Apparently for him killing people from other countries, and giving away the lives of many Americans is “protecting the country”.
Don’t you just feel like throwing your shoe at him? I am sure John F Kennedy would.
John Kennedy refers to war when he says: “To those nations who would make themselves our adversary, we offer not a pledge but a request: that both sides begin anew the quest for peace, before the dark powers of destruction unleashed by science engulf all humanity”. Kennedy was not planning to have the United States in a war, in fact he had a solution to not get there. But while he asked negotiation and understanding of problems from each country, the country he once was president of invades Iraq, and does not plan to leave until the Iraqi’s government is completely well settled, and that will obviously take time and more lives.
This war brings to our minds a large and important part of it, our America soldiers. When Kennedy refers to the country in his speech he says; “Since this country was founded, each generation of Americans has been summoned to give testimony to its loyalty”. He was referring to how we should all work together to make the country grow, but when hi referred to soldiers he said: “The graves of young Americans who answered to the call to service surround the globe”. Again he was talking about the past, and making it seem as if it would never happen again. Right now many American soldiers have died in the Iraq war and the ones alive are still risking their lives.
John F. Kennedy was full of hope and dreams. He was planning to leave everything in the past and move on, no more war, no more “selfish” politics. Everything went away and was erased from American minds, but the hope now is born again with Obama.
